"My invention relates to an improvement in sharpening-machines which are intended more especially for sharpening circular bits of matcher-heads; and it consists in the combination of a revolving emery-wheel, which is mounted in vertical adjustable bearings, an arbor upon which the matcher-head is placed to be sharpened, a frame through which the mandrel passes, a revolving block by which the mandrel is adjusted vertically, a handle for horizontally revolving the adjusting-block, and a carriage by means of which the head is moved back and forth in relation to the emery-wheel..." |
