Description:
An ad in the 1866-05-05 issue of Scientific American reads as follows: "CLEMENS'S CIRCULAR SAW MILL. Manufacturers or parties wishing to engage in the Manufacture of the best Saw Mill ever invented and put in practical operation, can obtain a license to build the same, with complete working drawings, upon application to the Inventor. G. H. CLEMENS, Cincinnati, Ohio." We have no evidence that he ever sold the rights. Clemens went on to gain several patents for steam-boiler safety valves.
