Description: |
The small link chain and teeth on the gripping surface of this chain wrench are sized for bicycle chain wheels.
The wrench appears as the STEVENS SPROCKET WRENCH in a 1919 MOTORCYCLING & BICYCLING advertisement. A 1923 Shapleigh Hardware catalog lists an improved version with a spring to hold the chain in engagement with the sprockets so the wrench could be used two-handed. |
