The design is the pattern of circular grips resembling suction cups. Earl W. Myers was President of Forged Steel Products Co. Several types of pliers and related tools incorporating this handle design were produced. Many were labeled "VACUUM GRIP;" some have the patent date.
Late 1920 hardware trade journals have articles announcing the company's intial production. Some appear in early 1930s Snap-On catalogs, and the line was eventually bought by Snap-On. |
