Stan Schulz JEFFREY LOCK JAW track wrenches (FLICKR)
|
Description: |
This patent is a "special case" version of Jeffrey's earlier patent no. 873437 -- reissue no. RE12854. In this patent, an open end groove in line with the shank of the wrench also acts as an entry guide for the hex socket. In this patent, the groove is about 2/3rds of the thickness of the wrench head, and the "web" which also serves as two sides of the hex box is about 1/3rd of the total thickness of the wrench head.
JEFFREY LOCK JAW track wrenches illustrated in the March 26, 1909 RAILROAD AGE GAZETTE conform to this patent.
The "family" of patents also includes no. 916951. |
