Description: |
The rotating collar has a slot running its width which allows the dog engaging the fine rack teeth on the shank to release. Then the movable jaw is free to slide. The working faces are shaped to adjust to square and hex nuts and the interior of recessed face drain plugs.
The manufacturer is noted in Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930;" the STAFF wrench appears in "new product" announcements in early 1920. The wrench was produced with a hexagonal shank rather than the square shank shown in the drawings. |
