Description: |
The tool is a lever-linkage adjustable wrench; the description notes the lever action would also be useful for a wire cutter or pliers. A couple of alternate linkage systems are shown in the drawings. The adjustable fulcrum is not part of the patent; the version shown is an adjusting knurl engaging rack teeth in the handle. The description notes the similarities to Plante's Aug. 20, 1929 patent (no.1,725,301), and another application (Serial No. 301,650) filed Aug. 23, 1928. This patent and Plante's Aug. 20, 1929 patent (no. 1,725,301) were used for the Woodworth Specialties Co. (Binghamton, NY) VISE GRIP WRENCH. |
