Description: |
The functions in this combination tool include several wrench sizes, a tack lifter, a tack hammer, a screwdriver, and a cornsheller.
The center panel of the produced tool has "H.S. GILBERT & CO. MFG. CHAMBERSBURG, PA." Some who have examples of the tool are surprised the patent is so "recent," as the tool has a 19th Century appearance.
The handle and sheller portions resemble the "Harrrisburg Family Corn Sheller Company's POCKET CORN SHELLER" based on William A. Middleton's 1870 patents 99,106 and 105,825. |
