Description: |
The spring loaded ratchet dogs can be rotated to reverse the direction of the ratchet action. The head can be locked by turning the ratchet dogs to oppose each other. An auxiliary handle can hold the ratchet head against "backward" movement by applying friction to the head. The shape of the jaw opening is to hold nuts "in line" with the handle or at right angles, or to hold sockets or similar auxiliary tools. The patentee's address was Des Moines, Iowa at the time the application was submitted. |
