Description: |
A cam wheel on the side of the wrench bar adjusts the moveable jaw. A small spring-loaded lever engages notches on the edge of the cam wheel to hold the adjustment. The manufactured wrench did not employ the optional tightening lever shown in the patent drawing, or incorporate any pipe gripping function.
Goodin applied a similar cam wheel adjuster to another nut wrench patented May 4, 1869 (pat. no. 89575). |
