Description: |
| Swinging the jaws at an angle to the handle allows them to be adjusted; as they align with the handle they tighten. The grip is sufficient to grab pipe with the toothed faces of the jaws.
Although the available drawings differ, this design appears to have received Canadian patent CA-22,664 Oct. 21, 1885. |
