Description: |
Improvement on Stallings' Dec. 18, 1917 Pat. (no. 1,250,690). The three jaws converge as the pliers are closed; the focus of this patent is a redesign to make the tool smoother and less likely to snag when removed from a pocket.
Produced as the "TRIPLE GRIP PAT JUN 17, 1924" pliers. An example (PL562-13-2411) appears in Martin Donnelly's sale inventory. It is No. 266 in "Antique & Unusual Wrenches" by Schulzes. |
