Description:
The bearing structure in U.S. patents 637,842 and 641,485, with a modified statement of specifications. --

"This invention ... has for its object to provide an easy running adjustable bearing. ... My improved bearing is especially adapted for use in machines where the raw of rotation is very high, as in the case of polishing wheels.. Its use is, of course, not limited to such machines or wheels, but its usefulness is greatest in such cases."

Woods had several patents matching products listed by the Woods Specialty Co., Granville, NY ca. 1898 - 1902. In later years, he appears in corporations associated with his patents in several places including Toronto, Cleveland, etc.
