Description: |
Abstract:
My invention relates to a novel construction io of natural-gas burner, whereby it is adapted to assist in the operation of effecting a thorough mixing of the gas with the atmospheric air admitted to the burner, and to the arrangement of the outlet or discharge openings at the periphery of the burner, whereby the jets are made to converge in pairs, and thereby-to draw in an additional supply of oxygen from the air for effecting a more perfect combustion of the gas.
Claim:
A natural-gas burner composed of the concavo-convex base A, having a, central inlet opening, a, for the admission of gas, and the concave-convex cap 11, having the convex deflector b, located centrally above the gas-inlet opening and concavity of the base-plate, the arched or grooved portion b', substantially as described, and having jet-openings formed between the abutting edges or flanges of the base and cap pieces and arranged to converge in pairs in lines oblique to radial lines. |
