Abstract:
My invention consists in certain new and useful improvements in seeding-machines, some of which are applicable to either the runner or shoe drill or the disk drill, and relates to the novel construction and arrangement of the lifting or drag bar controlling device and the manner of mounting the drag- bars, the feed-disengaging mechanism, the construction and arrangement of the furrow-openers or disks, and the application of roller or ball bearings to the disks and the main axle of the seeding-machine.
Claim:
In a seeding-machine, the lifting device consisting of a lever with arms, one of which has pivotal connection, with a rod whose free end is supported by a collar, a balance-spring supported by said rod and normally in line with the fulcrum of said lever, and mechanism intermediate the rocker -shaft and the other arm of said lever. |
