This patent number is given in the 1914 Baldwin, Tuthill & Bolton catalog, an optional extra for their "B. T. & B. Cup Wheel and Straight Wheel Knife Grinding Machines". A picture on page 159 shows the "Marshall Automatic Stop for Predetermining and Equalizing the Grind. Patent Applied For."
