Description:
British patent corresponding to U.S. Patent 942,043. The specifications and claims also incorporate aspects of U.S. patent 936,574. The effective date is back-dated to correspond to the application date for 942,043.

It is not known whether these compound lever shears were produced in Great Britain. In the U.S. they were first produced by the Detroit Shear Co., and after Jan. 1, 1913 by Bartlett Mfg. Co., Detroit.

Note: Early British patents (starting mid-19th Century; pre 1916) were numbered by the year of registration and started at patent #1 at the start of each year in January. The patent # used in DATAMP represents the year of registration and the patent #, with "leading zeros" interposed to make the number total nine digits. This patent is #15,667 of the year 1910.
