Vintage Machinery entry for Hormel-Wagner Co.
Description:
Improvements to the simple but important belt-sander patent 1,108,176, which was the first small and simple belt sander. The improvements in this later patent relate to an integrated direct-drive motor along with an improved fence.

The assignee company had recently acquired the Walls Sales Corp., successor to the Hormel-Wagner Co. The August 1937 Modern Machine Shop, page 189, has an ad from Walls Sales Corp. for the "Hormel-M Grinder" and the illustration closely matches the patent drawing.
