Description:
Nova Scotia (NS) patents were issued between 1834 and 1867, when they joined with Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick to form the Dominion of Canada.

There is no patent drawing. "...artificial slate is formed by drying, calcing and grinding portions of Alumina, Silica, Magnesia, Sulphate of Sary-Tas and Lime with the Oxides of iron and mixing with linseed oil and spirits of turpentine."
