Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Crescent Machine Co.
|
Description: |
This invention is a variation on the design in patent 943,540; the changes are aimed at making the head less expensive to produce, and to allow the holding bars to be removed without having to pull them out through the end of the cutter-head. This design was a dead end, being superseded by that in patent 1,153,910. Nonetheless, it is believed to have been used on Crescent jointers and planers. |
