The focus of the patent is an enclosed frame structure for the movable jaw of a "Stillson" type pipe wrench, and internal springs to support the jaw.
A pipe wrench marked in part "BAHCO III / PATENT" bears strong resemblance to the general appearance of this design, but has a different provision for a spring.
