Description: |
This patent foil was used commercially to decorate wallpaper and other such decorative uses. Richard Beamish's book, Memoir of the Life of Sir Marc Isambard Brunel, gives a detailed description of the process of producing this decorative foil. It appears that the process was easily implemented and Brunel and partner Samuel Shaw suffered from innumerable imitators who infringed on the patent. |
