Description: |
Adjustable open end head with two pivoting handle segments that have rack teeth. This arrangement allows the angle between the head and handle to be adjusted to allow additional movement of the head. A known example marked "GRYP - F. M. R. & Co." along with other information about British tool makers of the early 20th Century identifies the maker.
The design with adjustable jaw wrench head also was patented in Germany (DE-194499) and France (FR-371433). The German and French patents note the effective date of British patent GB-190520718.
Compare Tacchi's earlier patents (pat. nos. GB-190,401,868, 805,328 and European equivalents). |
