Description: |
Alfred Brookes was a patent agent; the patent comes from the Bay State Tool Co. of Boston, Mass.
Abstract: "The toothed jaw shank 3 of a pipe &c. wrench can slide through a hole in the downturned end of the neck part 12 of the jaw 10 or between the side lugs 13, 14 of such part and on a pin 15, being locked in any position by a thumbpawl 20. The spring 30 may be riveted to the pawl, or simply pushed laterally into recesses 31, 32 and retained by the lugs 14."
