Abstract:
It is the object of this invention to provide a very sensitive precision lathe with an almost unlimited range of gearless, stepless spindle speeds capable of both forward and reverse movement.
Claim:
In a lathe, a driving motor, hydraulic variable speed transmission means driven thereby, a control mechanism comprising a handle, a sleeve and a system of links and levers connected to said hydraulic speed control mechanism and handle, a rod mounted within said sleeve, and electrical control mechanism connected to said rod for controlling said driving motor whereby a centralized control for said motor and said hydraulic speed mechanism is provided. |
