Description: |
The tool is designed to "oscillate" engine valves to break built up carbon. The open end would engage the valve stem by bearing against the pin which connected the valve to the valve spring.
Wall's Perfect Valve Grinder used an oscillating lever to move the gripping head rather than the gear train shown in this patent. |
