Description: |
Specialized ratchet "wrench" within a holding frame. A ratchet pawl in the handle turns the socket; a second ratchet pawl incorporated in the frame structure holds the socket against "retrograde" motion. A lever and cone mechanism attached to the handle can release the ratchet pawl in the frame structure. The frame is designed to be suspended above the work area.
The tool is an elaboration of the ratchet noted in Campbell's companion patent (no. 609,872) for a bale tie tightener. |
