Description: |
Combination quick and screw adjust wrench. In part it is a modification and simplification of Kahle's June 4, 1907 patent no. 855,891. The major feature is a simplified form of adjusting sleeve with depressable spring-loaded "washers" forming the "teeth" that hold the adjustment of the movable jaw. This patent includes a supplemental pipe gripping insert, and a coiled wire handle. The patent's claim is the pipe gripping insert.
The D.P. Kahle wrench bearing a June 4, 1907 patent date has a combination quick and screw-adjust sleeve corresponding to the construction shown in this patent. |
