The movable jaw rocks on a toothed pivot. The tooth on the pivot engages rack teeth to hold the size adjustment. The interior of one of the jaws has spring to hold the axle nut in the socket.
Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" suggests Conway also produced the wrench. |
