Description: |
Self-adjusting wrench with gripping teeth on the jaw faces. The fixed jaw is at an oblique angle to the plane of jaw movement, and the jaw face on the movable jaw is parallel to the face on the fixed jaw. Tightening the movable jaw wedges a pipe in the angle. The movable jaw is operated by rack teeth on the lower edge that engage gear teeth on the swinging handle.
The specifications note the wrench had received Austria-Hungarian patent no. 40,259 issued December 14, 1891. |
