Description: |
One has to read the patent description in order to comprehend the drawings. There is an operating ring behind the conical shell which can be rotated to force an internal nut B forwards to press the three jaws C against the bit. The operating ring has internal threads; operating ring B is threaded on its inner diameter. The jaws are keyed to the operating ring at their bases. Note that the drilling torque does not tend to tighten this chuck. |
