Description: |
The specifications note a range of applications for this framework -- such things as pliers, punches, snips, pinchers, etc. The jaw faces may be dovetailed to allow insertion of such functions.
The adjustable jaw rides on an adjustable fulcrum which rides between cheek pieces that are part of the second jaw. The end support for these cheek pieces and the adjusting screw is attached by welding, etc.
The assignee is corrected by an addendum dated April 1, 1890.
