Description: |
Some sources indicate that this patent was issued on 19 Jun., 1822 and reissued on 07 May 1829.
Most of the patents prior to 1836 were lost in the Dec. 1836 fire. Only about 2,000 of the almost 10,000 documents were recovered. Little is known about this patent. There are no patent drawings available. This patent is in the database for reference only.
(From the reissue.)
“We expect a further communication from this gentleman on his mode of using percussion powders, &c. which will probably convey all the information desired respecting this improvement; we shall, therefore, at present, omit entering upon the subject.”
Journal of the Franklin Institute Vol. 5, Aug. 1829 pgs. 124-125
