Stan Schulz BROCK FLANGE and FITTINGS wrenches (FLICKR)
|
Description: |
The patent is for a chain where the outside links have integral studs that are separate from the rivets that connect the links. The chain is for a chain pipe wrench, and the connections on the wrench bar are also described, although they are not part of this patent. One advantage of this type of link is that the chain of a chain pipe wrench could be constructed that only had projecting studs at the end used for adjustment.
The chain appears in Brock's Sept. 27, 1892 chain wrench patent (no. 483,419), and in BROCK chain wrenches advertised after 1900. |
