Description:

The ratchet mechanism is similar to that appearing in Bellows' Oct. 15, 1918 patent no. 1,281,484. The thrust against the pawl is "longitudinal." The handle portion can be made different lengths.

Walden Worcester No. 516 ratchet matches this patent as does the No. 716 ratchet shown in the ca. 1921 No. 27 Combination Wrench Set.
