Description: |
This patent features a fairly traditional marking gage with a
"divider" gage that could automatically mark a mortise and its
centerline. This in and of itself was interesting enough, but the
actual piece produced went several steps further...
In addition to the marking gage and dividers covered in the
original patent, the production models added a second head, and
another marking point in the middle of the bar. On top of all
this, they stuck long points in the bottom of each head so the
tool could be used as a trammel.
