Description: |
The patent is in improvement on Long's May 2, 1916 patent (No. 1,181,466). It includes an adjustable "stop" on one handle to limit movement of the adjustable jaw, and a pivoting dog that provides a movable fulcrum for the pliers action. This patent also shows hardened jaw surface inserts, and other special jaw features. The jaws are angled at sixty degrees to the handle to provide three flat surfaces to engage hex nuts. This is the second of three patents noted on the USONA MFG. CO L.P. WRENCH. The third is 1,408,524. |
