Stan Schulz August 1914 ELGIN WRENCH ad (FLICKR)
|
Description: |
3rd patent date shown on later production of the Elgin Adjustable Alligator wrench. The earlier patents are nos. 584,019 and 809,755.
The patent describes technical details of the spring, shape of the notch for the die holder, etc. An August 1914 ad from STAR MANUFACTURING advises that springs and die holders from the "TRADE MARK" version of the Elgin Wrench (with three patent dates) would not fit older versions of the tool. |
