Description:
"This invention is a tool adapted for use as a pliers, or a pipe wrench, or a cutting implement."

"The tool embodies a plurality of lever members so connected that one member has a swinging movement with relation to the other member and the jaws are adjustable laterally and endwise by mechanism carried by one of the members, associated with means on one of the members to limit the endwise and lateral movements of said member." -- from the specifications.

The initial application is dated November 22, 1915, and a renewed application was filed October 28, 1916. The drawings show the tool as a pliers. This is the second patent in the series that includes patent nos. This is the third patent in the series that includes patent nos. 1,182,815, 1,320,103 and 1,345,035.
