| This socket wrench is described as a water stop-box key, or pavement washer key. A pavement washer was a water spigot threaded to take a hose which in turn was used to wash down paved streets in the days of horse-drawn vehicles. The patent's focus is the curved handles which would hold a hose to facilitate draining it after use.
