Description: |
A spring-loaded pawl at the base of the sliding jaw engages rack teeth on the inner face of one side of the handle to hold the adjustment.
Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-52,842 was issued July 8, 1896.
According to Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" the Spaulding Machine Screw Co. of Buffalo, NY produced this wrench as well as Dicks' more commonly found screw-adjust pocket wrench (pat. no. 509,151). |
