Stan Schulz Wright Wrench (FLICKR)
|
Description: |
The patent's focus is the structure of the gripping surface inside the movable jaw, the tension spring tending to keep the gripping surface engaged with the rack in the main shank, and the rack recessed in the main shank. This patent and Ash and Stewart's March 15, 1904 patent (no. 754,633), were used for quick adjust nut wrenches produced by the Wright Wrench Co.
Contemporary advertisements stress the wrench could be held and adjusted by one hand, and the rack was replaceable. |
