Description: |
The combination tool is a pliers and wire cutter that has provision for the jaws to slide laterally. The handle ends have opposite jaw faces of an alligator wrench, lips which interlock to hold those jaws firm in relation to each other, and a spring clip at the pivot to hold the adjustment. The end of the handle with the smooth alligator wrench jaw surface may be designed as a screwdriver. This tool is a refinement and simplification of McAslan's earlier compound tool patent (no. 858618, and RE12773). The tool corresponding to this patent is marked Pat. Mar. 31, 1908 -- the reissue date for the earlier patent. |
