Description: |
The unique feature of this patent is "legs" extending from the ferule to the end of the handle of a Coes "knife handle" wrench, an integral "key" or "keys" between the wrench shank and one or both such "legs," and the end cap of the handle which holds the pieces together. Coes pursued a parallel patent (No. 638,957), in which the key is is a separate piece of metal fitting notches in the shank & "legs."
This is the first of three successive patents exploring alternative modes of strengthening the "knife handle." |
