Description: |
This patent is of interest because the inventor was the father of Henry Lloyd Beach, who later had a couple of horse-rake patents of his own, and then went on to invent and manufacture woodworking machinery.According to a genealogy web page created by Tina Tirsek, Lorenzo was born 1812-01-06 and died 1880-04-04 in Montrose. It further says, "an extensive account of this man and his family (is) found in J. H. Beers & Co., 'Commemorative Biographical Record of Northeastern Pennsylvania', 1900, at pp. 188-190. Lorenzo Beach was a cabinet maker. He later invented and patented a wheel horse hay-rake." |
