Description:
According to Grace's Guide, "Deverell's steam hammer patent (1806) is particularly interesting, but it is not known whether it was developed for practical use." In the aftermath of Nasmyth's patent GB-184,209,382, it was pointed out that his patent had been anticipated decades before by this Deverell patent.
