Description: |
A long tail on the sliding jaw, and the wedge adjuster that jams teeth on the inside of the movable jaw against teeth on the wrench shank are the distinctive features. The only marking on known examples is PATD 1894.
The parallel U.S. patent (no. 514,993) was issued on the same date, and British patent GB-189403639 was registered on Feb. 20, 1894.
