Description: |
A cam lever on the back side of the movable jaw acts as a clamp to hold the jaw in the adjusted position. The lower portion of the movable jaw has teeth that engage a rack on the shank. The shank is strengthened toward the fixed jaw.
U.S. patent 102,307 of April 26, 1870 has a similar cam lever clamp, but includes an intermediate block between the wrench shank and cam lever. |
