| Abstract:
This invention is made for inclosing the cranks and crankshaft of a vertical duplex single-acting engine in such a manner that Io access can be had for removing the cranks, the connecting-rods, and the plungers whenever required.
Claim:
The combination, with the twin single-acting steam-cylinders, connecting-rods, cranks, and shaft, of a case bolted to the ends of the cylinders and provided with the journal-boxes or bearings and a box-shaped base upon which the edges of the case rest, and hinges to connect the case and base. |
