Description:
Modified version of the wrench in 667,743. The movable jaw has a pipe gripping jaw piece and the rack-gripping pawl, with a spring enabling each to move independently. The main shank is solid, including the end fixed jaw.

Ken Cope's AMERICAN WRENCH MAKERS 1830-1930 suggests this feature was used in a wrench produced by the LANIUS MACHINE Co. (Bucyrus, OH).
